When traveling, always be sure to have your camera ready, and visit local Municipal Airports (MAP's). Many MAP's have “hidden treasures.” For example, when A Friend In Arizona (AFIA) visited the Glendale Municipal Airport on 5/16/2001, the “treasures” were in “plane-view.” A Canadian Vickers PBV-1A Canso-A (N413PB, s/n CV343) was parked on the tarmac. The PBV-1A is a Canadian built consolidated PBY-5A Catalina. There are also two MiG's; a Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-17 Fresco and a Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 I at the South end of the airport. The two MiG's were without markings, so the registration numbers are currently unknown to us. Anyone know them? Again, a very special thanks to AFIA for sending us the following series of Walk-Around photos of these three aircraft.
