Tucson — Kurth Memorial Airpark, Arizona ANG 162nd Fighter Wing
Kurth Memorial Airpark
The Kurth Memorial Air Park was dedicated in memory of Brig. Gen. Ronald L. Kurth on 19 November 2000. General Kurth was the former commander of the 162nd Fighter Wing. His vision and devotion to the Wing resulted in its sustained growth and expansion of the International Training mission. The Kurth Memorial Airpark features examples of the six fighter aircraft the unit has flown throughout its history in Tucson. The aircraft on display in the Kurth Memorial Airpark are available for photography. Photographers who do not hold a Department of Defense ID card must call the Public Affairs office to schedule an appointment for access to the base. Appointments are granted based on the availability of the Public Affairs staff. More staff members are available during Unit Training Assemblies, usually the first weekend of the month.
