Vermilion Regional Airport (IATA: DNV, ICAO: KDNV, FAA LID: DNV) is a public-use airport located four nautical miles (7.4 km; 4.6 mi) northeast of the central business district of Danville, a city in Vermilion County, Illinois, United States. The airport is included in the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011-2015, which categorized it as a general aviation facility. It was formerly known as Vermilion County Airport. Vermilion Regional Airport covers an area of 817 acres (331 ha). It has two asphalt paved runways: 3/21 is 6,004 by 100 feet (1,830 × 30 m) and ILS equipped; 16/34 is 3,999 by 100 feet (1,219 × 30 m). [1] The Vermilion Regional Airport has a North American F-86F Sabre “Madelle” (AF 52-4812) displayed on a pylon at the entrance of the airport. This particular aircraft was “Dedicated to the Pioneer Jet Aviators of the Korean War during the 50th Anniversary Commemoration of the Illinois State Convention of the KWVA. September 15, 2002.”
