Background
Make and show your own 3-D movies with this “Action Movie-Rama” was the tag line for this series of Kellogg’s Rice Krispies package design cards issued in the late 1950s. The set was made up of six “Action Movie-Rama”package backs plus side panels. The artwork bears the copyright line “© 1958 Herman Bollin.” The approximate size of the back panel is 8 × 10 inches. To date we have only been able to scan one of the six panels in this series, No. 4 “Rocket Ship.” Unfortunately, the side panel for this card was not available. Evidently the side panels of this series carry the scenic strip which is cut out and glued onto a cylinder to provide a moving background for the 3-D image.
There are a total of 6 cards in this series. The back of the cards are blank. The American Card Catalog reference designation for this series is F273-1.
