Overview


During World War II, the Kellogg’s Company of Battle Creek, Michigan issued a series of 28 airplane Trading Cards titled Model Warplane Series. These cards were issued as inserts packaged with Kellogg’s Pep breakfast cereal. There were four distinct subsets of 7 cards each. The cards were all die-cut and designed to be punched out and assembled to form “model” airplanes to be used for aircraft recognition purposes. The cards measured 5 × 7 inches. The American Card Catalog Number for the series is F273-18.
