Overview
During 1958, E.M. Halpin and Co. Ltd. issued a 25-card set of Aircraft of the World (HAO-1) tea package insert cards. The cards were issued/packaged with Halpin’s Willow Tea. The cards measure 67.3 × 36.4 mm. The fronts of the cards feature color artwork of military and civilian aircraft in flight. The artwork itself is rather simplistic. The image area is surrounded by a thin white margin border. The card fronts are devoid of captions. The backs of the cards are printed with blue ink on a light cream colored card stock. The centered text on the back of the card is contains aircraft specifications and performance data, plus Halpin brand information. The following reference card shows computer enhanced images of the fronts and backs of a typical 1958 Aircraft of the World card.
