Number of Cards: 12 cards numbered from 1 to 12

Background
This is a set that was originally improperly listed in the card catalog as Victory Gum
. Most likely, these cards were cut from candy boxes since the style is similar to several other candy-box design of the era. There are a total of 12 blank-backed cards in this set. Each card features a serviceman of a specific rank with a large “V” for Victory superimposed over the picture of the serviceman. The three dots and the dash beneath the large “V” stands for the letter “V” in Morse code and are printed on every card. The word Victory, and the large “V” and the dots and dash are all in red; the rest of the card is yellow except for the multi-color serviceman and two small strips of blue at the top and bottom margins. The manufacturer of the set is unknown. The American Card Catalog reference number is R160.
