Background
This series is probably one of the more unusual trading cards sets and you’ve ever see. Marketed by the National Licorice Company during the 1930s (actual date unknown), this 24-color card set, when placed in the proper order, creates a beautiful composite tabloid of African wild animals. The tabloid shown below, measures approximately 9.5 × 17.25 inches. Each of the card fronts is missing one, two, or four borders depending upon where it is placed in the panorama. The card backs contain the card number and title, followed by a descriptive text about the animal. The American Card Catalog number for the Series is R6.
R6 Wrapper
The R6 wrapper is a distorted color reproduction of the Panorama Scene Tabloid (shown above) with a red box in the center containing the name of the set.
Image-Guide
Currently we only have color scans of three of the cards (1, 7, and 19). We could use some help completing this collection.
